FAQ for Financial Dimensions UK Limited

A selection of frequently asked questions has been provided below:

What is an "Financial Adviser' ?

There is more than one type of Financial Adviser. Not all advisers can give you advice on all the products available.

  • Independent Financial Advisers provide advice on your behalf sourced from the whole of the market available. They will assess your current financial situation and if a product needs to be recommended; will choose from all those available, from every provider. They will then choose the one which best suits your individual needs.
  • Tied Advisers can only sell products from one financial company - the one to which they are "tied", and must find the best product within that range to suit you.
  • Direct Sales people are employed directly by an insurance or investment company. They too can only sell the products of the company they represent and have to find the best one in that range for you.

How much will Financial Dimensions charge me?

By law, all Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) must provide a full explanation of all services and associated charges at the beginning of the first consultation.

Can I have a one-on-one meeting with Financial Dimensions?

Yes - in fact, this is the only way that Financial Dimensions work. They do not provide advice without a one-to-one meeting to determine your individual needs. Your consultation will take place with Mr Fari Serajian, an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) with over 20 years experience.

What are the benefits of regular contact with an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA)?

Think of your financial position as an aeroplane. It can run on autopilot, but every now and again the pilot must take the controls and gently put the aeroplane back on course. Financial Dimensions will see clients every six months to review all aspects of financial planning. This can help to identify any new issues or problems which may have arisen and provide necessary solutions.

What will happen when I meet with Financial Dimensions?

Financial Dimensions will always provide you with a business card at the very first stage in the process. Terms of Business and information about services and charges will also be provided, before any consultation takes place. The first part of the consultation is a 'fact find' mission, where Financial Dimensions will endeavour to generate a full picture of your financial position, together with any personal preferences and goals. Regardless of the final outcome, Financial Dimensions will also produce a full written report, which will contain a summary of the information discussed in the 'fact find'.
